# Five Letters

> Guess the five-letter word in six tries.

A new word every day, the same for everyone at the same moment. Guess it in six tries: after each guess the tiles turn green for a letter in the right spot, yellow for a letter that's in the word somewhere else, and gray for a letter that isn't in it at all. Your character stands by the board and cheers you on. Solve it every day to grow your streak, then practice with more words for as long as you like.

## How to play

1. Type any five-letter word and press Enter. On a phone, tap the letters on the keyboard under the board.
2. Each tile changes color: green is the right letter in the right spot, yellow is in the word but in another spot, and gray is not in the word. The keyboard keeps track for you.
3. Use the clues to find the word in six guesses or fewer. The fewer guesses you need, the more stars and coins you earn, once a day.
4. A new word arrives once a day, at the same moment for everyone, and the game counts down to it. Hard mode makes every clue count, and Colorblind swaps green and yellow for orange and blue.

## Tips

- Start with a word full of common letters, like one with two vowels and letters such as R, S, T or L.
- Use your second guess to try new letters, even if it can't be the answer. More letters checked means fewer guesses later.
- Remember a letter can appear twice in the answer.
- Watch the keyboard: it keeps track of which letters are in, out or in the wrong spot.
