# Thingamajet

> Fly a homemade jet, pew-pew puff balls in sets, and bolt on parts as you go.

A side-scrolling arcade shooter with a homemade jet. It's puff season: a dandelion the size of a tower has gone to seed, and the sky is clogged with bouncy, grumpy puff balls. You fly a desk fan with wings through five stages, from a thistledown meadow to the top of the stalk, pew-pewing puffs until they poof into fluff and float off small and happy. Pop a whole set to shake out a gear, and choose when to bolt on speed, bouncers, a beam, echoes or a bubble shield. Chain sets for big scores, take on five big puffs by their weak spots, and win bronze to platinum medals on every stage. Earn widgets for a toaster, a spray bottle and a hair dryer, and fly a new Daily Jaunt every day.

## How to play

1. Drag anywhere to fly: your jet follows your finger's motion and never jumps to it. Arrow keys or WASD fly at the same top speed. Your jet goes pew on its own.
2. Pop every puff in a set to shake out a gear. Each gear lights the next part on the Tinker Bar.
3. Press Fit (or Space) to bolt on the lit part: Zip, Bouncers, Twin, Beam, Echo or a Bubble shield. Wait, and the light moves on to bigger parts.
4. A bonk pops a shield and knocks your last part loose, so catch it before it drifts away. Lose all three shields and you float down under a parachute. Clear stages for medals and widgets to spend in the hangar. Fly the Arcade run for the board: all five stages in a row, then a harder Second Lap. Or pick a stage for medals, practice from a checkpoint, or take today's Daily Jaunt in a loaner jet.

## Tips

- Pop every puff in a set. A set that gets away drops no gear and starts your chain again at x1.
- You don't have to fit the first part that lights up. Saving gears for Echo or Beam can pay off more than another Zip.
- Fly close: a puff popped right in front of your jet scores double, and your jet fires faster up close.
- After a bonk, your last part drifts away slowly. Catch it to bolt it back on for free.

### Is it free?

Yes. It's free to play in your browser, with no download and no sign-up needed. Coins you earn are for fun and can never be bought.

### How do I shoot?

You don't have to: your jet goes pew on its own. You fly it by dragging anywhere on the screen, or with the arrow keys or WASD, and press Fit or Space to bolt on parts.

### What happens to the puffs?

Nothing bad. A popped puff poofs into fluff and confetti, and what's left is a tiny, cheerful puff that floats off home.

### What happens when I get hit?

A bonk pops one of your three shields and knocks your last part loose. When the shields run out, your jet sputters and you float down under a parachute.

### What is the Daily Jaunt?

A new stage every day, the same for everyone, flown in a loaner jet. Finish it for bonus widgets and medals, and share your score.

### Can I play on a phone or tablet?

Yes. It's built for touch first, with a big drag pad under the action so your thumb never covers it, and it plays the same on a phone, a tablet or a computer.

- **Twice around** (diamond, 150 coins): Clear the Second Lap. Earns the title "Sky Tinker".
- **Spring cleaning** (diamond, 150 coins): Pop 100,000 puffs in all. Earns the title "Lint Roller".
