Games that work offline
Free games for a plane, a road trip or a spotty connection. Open Sidekick Arcade once while you're online, and every game keeps working with no internet at all.
Before you go
- Open sidekickarcade.com on the phone, tablet or computer you're taking, while you have a connection.
- Wait a few seconds. The site saves every game in the browser by itself (about 1 MB, smaller than one photo).
- For the easiest start, add it to your home screen: in Safari tap Share, then Add to Home Screen; in Chrome, open the menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
- That's it. In airplane mode, open the site or the home screen icon and pick a game.
What works offline
- Every game on the site, from Snake and Solitaire to Number Merge, Crumb Kitchen and Four in a Row (two players can take turns on one phone).
- Daily puzzles: Daily Sudoku, Crossword Snack and Five Letters.
- Calm games: Word Search, Solitaire, Number Merge and Flash Cards.
- Your progress: coins, bests and your character are saved on the device, so nothing is lost when the connection comes back.
A game you've played once also keeps its sounds; a game you haven't played yet still works offline, just more quietly.
Good to know
- Nothing to download from an app store and nothing to sign up for.
- No ads load while you're offline. No chat and no strangers.
- Clearing your browser's data removes the saved games too. Open the site again online to bring them back.
