You are the chef, hat and all. Orders come in on tickets as fractions: make 3/4 cheese by topping slices, pick the pizza that shows 2/3, or spot which pizza has more. Later orders ask for 1/2 on a pizza cut into eight, or 1/4 and 2/4 added together. A round is ten orders. Every right pizza earns stars, and a miss just brings a hint from the chef so you can try again.

How to play

  1. Pick a shift on the start card: lunch (halves and quarters), dinner (thirds and sixths) or late (eighths, and fractions that match). Your choice is saved.
  2. Read the order on the ticket. To make a pizza, tap slices (or slide across them) to add the topping, then tap Serve. To choose a pizza, tap it.
  3. On a keyboard, press a number to top that many slices or to choose pizza 1, 2 or 3. The arrow keys and Space pick slices one at a time, and Enter serves.
  4. A right pizza earns 3 stars, plus 1 for a quick answer. After a miss, the chef points to a hint so you can try again.

Every way to play is equal here: touch, mouse and keyboard all move at the same top speed, so scores are fair whichever device you use.

Tips

  • Count the slices first: the bottom number of a fraction is how many slices the pizza is cut into.
  • The top number is how many slices get the topping.
  • For 1/2 on a pizza cut into eight, think: half of eight slices is four.
  • A miss isn't the end: the chef shows a hint and you try again.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. It's free to play in your browser, with no download and no sign-up. Coins you earn are for fun and can never be bought.

Which fractions does it cover?

Three shifts: lunch has halves and quarters, dinner thirds and sixths, and the late shift eighths and equivalent fractions. Later orders add fractions together, like 1/4 and 2/4.

Is there a timer?

No. Take your time: a quick answer earns a bonus star, and a miss just brings a hint from the chef.

Can I play on a phone or tablet?

Yes. It's built for touch first and plays the same on a phone, a tablet, a Chromebook or a computer.
