Reversi

Flip discs to own the board.

Place a disc so it flips the other side's discs in a line, and take over the board. Climb a ladder of eight bots, from Pip to Onyx, play a friend on the same screen, or solve a new puzzle every day. Your character sits at the table and cheers every win.

How to play

Press or click a square that flips at least one of the other side's discs, and let go on it. On a keyboard, the arrow keys move the cursor and Enter places the disc.
A disc flips every line of the other side's discs it closes in. If you can't move, you pass. The game ends when neither side can move.
The side with more discs wins. Beat a bot to win stars: 1 on Pip, up to 5 on Onyx. Win twice on a bot to open the next one on the ladder.
Take back up to three moves a game with Undo. Each day has a new puzzle: find the one move that wins with perfect play. You get three tries.

Every way to play is equal here: touch, mouse and keyboard all move at the same top speed, so scores are fair whichever device you use.

Tips

A corner can never be flipped back, so take one whenever you can.
Be careful with the squares next to a corner. They let the other side take the corner.
More discs isn't always better in the middle of the game. Keep more moves open for you.
The last few moves decide the game, so plan the end before you reach it.

How do I win?

Finish with more discs than the other side. The game ends when neither of you can move.

How do I beat the top bot?

Onyx plays the endgame perfectly, so win earlier. Take the corners, keep your options open and don't give a corner away.
